Spotlight on Knight Models Magneto and Wolverine

Marvel's latest movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past is now showing in Malaysian cinemas so make sure you book your tickets fast or risk missing it during release week.

While you are at it, don't forget to check out the X-Men characters in the Knight Models miniature line that are available from Shire Works i.e. Magneto and Wolverine. All three are shown below in their assembled and painted form. Coming in at 1/28th scale, these metal model kits are supplied unpainted and will require assembly.

As a fan, you know you owe it to yourself to get one of the many X-Men related characters available in the Knight Models range, assemble it and paint it up as you see fit. Spotlight on the Knight Models Spiderman

It's May 1st and The Amazing Spiderman 2: Rise of Electro is now showing in theatres throughout Malaysia. Make sure you catch this awesome movie in what is a defining moment of Peter Parker's life. Andrew Garfield is perfectly cast as Spiderman's geeky alter ego.

In its Marvel Universe range of 1/28th scale miniatures, Knight Models has an old school version of Spiderman leapfrogging a New York taxi. It's a beautifully sculpted piece of Spidey in a very dynamic pose; managing to capture the agility that is Spiderman's trademark.

Supplied unpainted and requiring assembly, the Knight Models Spiderman model kit comes in a combination of resin (for the taxi) and metal (for Spiderman). All figure/model parts are sandwiched between two protective sponges and encased inside a cardboard packaging. Pictures above show how a fully assembled and painted Spiderman looks like.

Latest Arrivals: Battle Chick and Akelarre Enchantment

The gals from Nocturna Models are finally here. Both the Necrospace Battle Chick and Akelarre Enchantment are highly detailed 70-mm or 1/28th scale resin miniature kits. They come in a tin box with individual resin parts encased between sponges for added protection.

Captain America, old school style

If you haven't yet watched the latest Marvel movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier, do yourself a favour and go see it. It's a real action packed extravaganza that would be a visual feast not just for Marvel fans but for all comic book fans in general.

But don't just stop there. Once you have seen the movie, then try your hand at painting the Marvel superhero himself. More specifically, check out this awesome old school version of Captain America by Knight Models (see below). Retro is definitely cool in this case.

Nocturna Models Facebook Page highlights Ser Gergor Clegane (Game of Thrones)

Many thanks to Nocturna Models for highlighting a miniature paint job conversion of their Crusader XIII C. miniature as completed by Shire Works' resident painter. In this project, the Nocturna Models resin scale model was painted as Ser Gregor Clegane, a character in the Game of Thrones books which is also a HBO TV series currently in its fourth season.

Knight Models Logan assembled minus paint

Here is a quick look at the Knight Models Logan from the Marvel Universe range as it stands after assembly prior to getting a paint job. It is a fairly easy model to assemble with some extra patience (and with help from a super glue-sodium bicarbonate combo) needed for the claws. Depending on personal preference, some green stuff can be used to smooth out the flesh on the metal miniature.

Logan is available to purchase from the Shire Works blog shop as are many other characters from the Marvel Universe.
